Management of Transcorp Hilton Abuja has denied reports claiming it cancelled a reservation for a political rally, insisting the allegation is false and misleading.
In a statement released Thursday, Acting General Manager Mohamed Said Khalil explained that no confirmed booking for such an event ever existed, making any claim of cancellation unfounded.
The hotel clarified that while an inquiry was made on Easter Monday about hosting an event at the facility, the request could not be accommodated due to unavailability of space at the time.
“As a result, no booking was made at any point,” the statement said, contradicting circulating reports that suggested a last-minute cancellation.
Khalil described the narrative as “inaccurate, malicious, and entirely fabricated,” and urged the public to disregard the misinformation.
The hotel reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and professionalism, noting that the claims do not reflect its standard operations or policies.
