Lady Gaga has released the music video for her new single ‘Abracadabra’. Watch it below.

The pop star is set to release her highly anticipated seventh studio album ‘Mayhem’, due for release on March 7.

It marks her first album of originals since 2020’s ‘Chromatica’ – it was then followed by 2021’s ‘Love For Sale’, her final collaboration with Tony Bennett, and 2024’s ‘Harlequin’, a collection of pop and jazz standards covered by Gaga for Joker: Folie à Deux.

‘Abracadabra’ marks the latest look into the album after her recent Bruno Mars collaboration ‘Die With A Smile’, which earned them a Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance just hours ago. The duo also performed ‘California Dreamin” as a tribute to Los Angeles in the wake of the devastating wildfires earlier this year.

During a commercial break of the awards broadcast, the ‘Abracadabra’ music video made its premiere. Harking back to the dark electro-pop of her career-highlight 2011 album ‘Born This Way’, the clip sees Gaga strike out in choreography with a group of dancers, all dressed in gothic attire. Watch the music video below.

Standing in contrast to the R&B ballad of ‘Die With A Smile’, Gaga previously said that ‘Mayhem’ will present “utter chaos” in terms of genre – saying that its influences span from “’90s alternative, electro-grunge, Prince and Bowie melodies, guitar and attitude, funky bass lines, French electronic dance, and analog synths.” ‘Mayhem’ is available for pre-order here.

Comprised of 14 tracks executively produced by Gaga, Michael Polansky and Andrew Watt and featuring producers such as Cirkut and Gesaffelstein, ‘Mayhem’ has been promised to reinvent Gaga’s “early sound with a kaleidoscopic approach”, as per a press release.

For the Grammys this year, comedian Trevor Noah returned to host the event for the fifth consecutive year as Beyoncé led the way with 11 nominations, making her the most nominated artist in the awards’ history – she won the biggest award of the night, Album Of The Year, for ‘Cowboy Carter’, marking her first win in the category.

Kendrick Lamar walked away as the biggest winner of the night, clinching five awards including Record of The Year and Song Of The Year for ‘Not Like Us’.  He also took home the Grammys for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song for ‘Not Like Us’, which has also won Best Music Video.
