Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has been awarded the 2024 Security Role Model Governor of the Year by the People’s Security Monitor Governing Board.
This esteemed recognition will be formally presented during the People’s Security Monitor Annual Security Conference and Recognition Awards, scheduled for December 6, 2024, at the Nigerian National Merit Award House, Maitama, Abuja.
The award highlights Governor Yahaya’s exemplary leadership and innovative strategies in securing Gombe State, setting a benchmark for other regions in Nigeria.
In addition to receiving the award, Governor Yahaya is slated to deliver a lecture on “Attainment of Ideal Security for the People: The Gombe State Example,” where he will delve into Gombe’s proactive approach to tackling security challenges.
The event’s Coordinator, Dr. Abayomi Runsewe, praised Yahaya’s contributions, saying, “The award is in recognition and appreciation of Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s innovative and impactful leadership in safeguarding lives and property in Gombe State and Nigeria at large.”
Dr. Runsewe emphasized that Yahaya’s model has made Gombe a stable and peaceful state, standing out amidst regional security struggles.
