Edo State Governor-Elect, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has appointed seasoned journalist Fred Itua as Chief Press Secretary, effective November 12, 2024, as he prepares to assume office on Tuesday. This appointment is the first official designation in Okpebholo’s incoming administration.

Itua, known for his extensive experience and dedication to journalism, previously held the position of Assistant Political Editor at The Sun newspaper. “Fred brings a wealth of experience and an unwavering commitment to journalistic excellence. His insights will be crucial as we work to communicate our plans and progress transparently with the people of Edo State,” said Okpebholo.

With a strong reputation in political reporting and public communication, Itua expressed readiness for the role, noting, “I am honored to serve as Chief Press Secretary in this administration.
