Former President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed his satisfaction with the recent ruling of the Presidential Elections Petition Court that upheld the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidate, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, along with Vice President Kashim Shettima, in the February 25 presidential election.
In a statement released by his former spokesperson, Garba Shehu, on Wednesday night, Buhari hailed the PEPC for making history by standing firm against intimidation and prejudice, ensuring justice was upheld in accordance with the law.
He stated, “Today, it’s not just a victory for any individual, but for our democracy and the people.” He urged everyone to move forward, leaving behind the election’s contentious period.
Buhari called for unity and support for the new APC administration led by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, emphasizing the importance of fulfilling the promises made to the people.
The former President also expressed his gratitude to all citizens for maintaining peace during this period and offered his prayers for continued progress and development under the APC government.
Additionally, he extended warm congratulations to President Tinubu, Vice President Shettima, and the APC on their court victory, wishing them success in fulfilling the people’s aspirations.
