Controversial crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has firmly denied allegations that he paid a N15 million bribe to officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to have his money laundering charges dismissed, reports Paparazzi Online.

These allegations surfaced on Tuesday night when popular influencer Martins Vincent Otse, also known as Very Dark Man, released an audio recording allegedly featuring Bobrisky.

In the recording, Bobrisky purportedly claimed to have paid EFCC officials N15 million to avoid a six-month jail term for naira abuse, for which he was convicted in April 2024.

In the same recording, Bobrisky allegedly boasted that he never served time in prison, suggesting that a “godfather” intervened and arranged for him to serve his sentence in a lodge rather than behind bars.

The shocking claims prompted a swift response from EFCC Chairman Olukoyode, who ordered a thorough investigation into the matter.

In response to the recording, Bobrisky took to his official Instagram account on Wednesday morning to dismiss the allegations as fake. He firmly denied bribing any EFCC officials and stated that he served his prison sentence in full.

“My attention has been drawn to a fake voice recording circulating on the internet that I paid EFCC 15 million naira and that I was never in prison. I didn’t pay any EFCC money—it’s a very big lie. I served my term in full and I came out. Discard any false information,” Bobrisky wrote.

The post underscores his rejection of the accusations and attempts to set the record straight.
