A chieftain of the Allied People’s Movement (APM), Hon. Dare Adeleke, has felicitated with the Oyo State Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Professor Daud Shangodoyin, on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as an accomplished administrator, a distinguished technocrat and one of the finest public servants in Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration.
In a congratulatory message issued on behalf of the leadership of Ibadan South East, Adeleke praised Professor Shangodoyin’s outstanding contributions to the development of Oyo State, particularly his sterling performance in the key ministries he has headed.
According to Adeleke, Professor Shangodoyin demonstrated exceptional competence during his tenure as Commissioner for Public Works and Transport, where he played a pivotal role in driving the state’s ambitious infrastructure agenda. He noted that in his current position as Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, the celebrant has continued to distinguish himself through his commitment to supervising critical projects and ensuring the successful execution of government policies across the state.
He described the commissioner as a tireless public servant whose regular inspections of ongoing infrastructure projects across Ibadan and other parts of Oyo State reflect his dedication to excellence, accountability and effective service delivery.
Adeleke also commended Professor Shangodoyin’s unwavering commitment to the ideals and growth of the Allied People’s Movement (APM), describing him as a loyal party leader whose contributions continue to strengthen the party’s vision and aspirations.
He further described the commissioner as one of the most illustrious sons of Ibadan South East, noting that despite his impressive academic achievements, public service record and political influence, he has remained humble, approachable and gentlemanly.
“Professor Daud Shangodoyin is a shining example of humility in leadership. His dedication to public service, his professionalism and his commitment to the progress of Oyo State continue to inspire many of us. He is not only an outstanding public official but also a worthy ambassador of Ibadan South East,” Adeleke said.
On a personal note, Adeleke expressed pride in celebrating Professor Shangodoyin not only as a respected public servant but also as a beloved cousin whose life has been defined by integrity, honour and selfless service.
