Oyo APM/PDP chieftain, Dare Adeleke has paid a worthy tribute to a great Nigerian statesman, Senator Iyiola Omisore on his 69th birthday, describing him as a remarkable human being and extraordinary Nigerian, an exceptional leader and uncommon philanthropist.
Adeleke’s Tribute reads:
Today, I join family, friends, political associates and well-meaning Nigerians to celebrate a distinguished son of Osun State, Senator Otunba Iyiola Ajani Omisore, as he clocks 69.
Senator Omisore is a man whose life has been defined by service, resilience, experience and an enduring commitment to his people. As an engineer, administrator, former Deputy Governor of Osun State, Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and former National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, he has traversed different spheres of public life and left indelible imprint along the way.
His years in public administration and politics have given him a unique understanding of governance and the complexities of nation-building. His contributions to the development of Osun State, particularly through his years in government and representation, remain an important part of his public service record.
Beyond the offices he has occupied, however, Senator Omisore’s greatest legacy is the human connection he has built over the years. The remarkable outpouring of goodwill and affection surrounding his 69th birthday, from prominent Nigerians in the public and private sectors to ordinary citizens whose lives he has touched, is a testament to the relationships he has nurtured and the impact of his journey. He is indeed an
exceptional leader and uncommon philanthropist.
At 69, Senator Omisore has every reason to look back with gratitude at a life of considerable achievement and public engagement. His wealth of experience, knowledge and understanding of our political and administrative landscape remains an asset to Osun State and Nigeria.
