Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Davido has been confirmed as one of the headline performers for FIFA’s 2026 World Cup Countdown Concert in Los Angeles, marking another major international stage for the award-winning artist.

In a statement released by FIFA, the global football governing body announced that Davido, whose real name is David Adeleke, will perform alongside electronic music group Major Lazer at the Crypto.com Arena on June 10, 2026. Additional performers are expected to be unveiled in the coming weeks.

The Los Angeles concert forms part of FIFA’s innovative synchronized live music series taking place across the three host nations of the 2026 FIFA World Cup — the United States, Canada, and Mexico — as excitement builds toward the tournament.

“Los Angeles is set for an electrifying celebration, with Major Lazer and Davido as the first confirmed acts for what will be a memorable night blending music, football, and culture,” FIFA said.

The event will be held at the Crypto.com Arena, with doors opening at 5:00 p.m. local time and the live broadcast beginning at 6:00 p.m. It will be linked to simultaneous performances in Mexico City and Toronto, creating a unique cross-continental concert experience that will be streamed live worldwide.

FIFA World Cup 2026 Chief Tournament Officer for the United States, Manolo Zubiria, said the concert series reflects the spirit of the tournament.

“The Countdown Concert series captures the excitement, unity, and cultural ties that define the 2026 World Cup. Just two days before the first match on US soil, Los Angeles—one of the world’s great entertainment hubs—will deliver an incredible show featuring top talent, bringing together football, music, and fans in a worldwide celebration as we get ready to welcome the globe,” Zubiria stated.

Tickets for the Los Angeles concert are scheduled to go on sale on June 3, while the event will be streamed globally through FIFA’s digital platforms, including an exclusive livestream on the FIFA World Cup TikTok account.

Fans who miss the live show will be able to access full concert footage and behind-the-scenes content on FIFA’s on-demand platform, VuMe Live, the following day.
