PDP Chieftain and Special Adviser to Oyo State Governor on Federal Constituency Matters, Hon. Dare Adeleke her expressed his deepest condolences to the Aliwo Royal Family, the Olubadan in Council, and the entire community of Ibadanland on the passing of the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Lekan Balogun.
The passing of the Olubadan is indeed a national tragedy and a devastating blow to the people of Oyo State, Adeleke noted in a statement released in Ibadan, Friday.
“The Transition of Oba Lekan Balogun to join his great ancestors came as a rude shock to the people of Ibadan, especially at a time when his experience and wise counsel were needed the most, as the nation is plunged into severe economic hardship.”
“However, we take solace in the fact that the Olubadan has left behind a legacy that will benefit the people in no small manner which embraces all social and political stratas of the state.” He said.
Adeleke also commensurated with the First Child of the Olubadan Princess Funmi Balogun Osinowo, and his other children. In the same vein, the SA sympathised with Senator Kola Balogun for being a standing factor while Kabiyesi was alive.
He enjoined “the people, the state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde and the Oluband in Council to take solace in the fact that the Olubadan, Oba Lekan Balogun lived a good life full of service to his country and his people.”
