In a significant gathering of Ekiti State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholders held on Tuesday in Abuja, members resolved to unite in preparation for the 2026 elections.
Key resolutions from the meeting aimed to foster unity and strengthen the party’s structure.
In a communiqué issued after the landmark meeting and signed by Hon. Dare Adeleke, Chairman of the Ekiti PDP Caretaker Committee, stakeholders emphasized collaboration. All leaders unanimously agreed to work together with the Caretaker Committee to address challenges arising from the recently concluded Ward and Local Government Congresses. The Caretaker Committee will announce the timeline for this reconciliation process.
Highlighting their commitment to teamwork, the Caretaker Committee prioritized maintaining and enhancing the unity established during this meeting.
The meeting also resolved to form an Elders Committee to guide the party’s strategic direction.
Stakeholders stressed the need for fairness and urged the Caretaker Committee to uphold transparency as they prepare for upcoming Congresses.
Additionally, the communiqué stated that a meeting with all Chairmanship aspirants and key figures involved in form purchases will be convened promptly.
Stakeholders expressed gratitude to party members for their commitment and encouraged further mobilization efforts.
The committee also recognized the contributions of the party’s media team in promoting its objectives.
This meeting reflects the Ekiti PDP’s commitment to building a cohesive and effective party structure as it prepares for future challenges.

COMMUNIQUE OF THE EKITI PDP STAKEHOLDERS MEETING HELD ON 30TH OCTOBER 2024 IN ABUJA
IT WAS RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
All Ekiti PDP leaders agreed to unite and work collaboratively with the Caretaker Committee to address outstanding issues from the concluded Ward and Local Government Congresses. The Caretaker Committee will inform leaders of the date for this exercise.
Moving forward, the Caretaker Committee will operate as a cohesive team to foster the unity achieved during this meeting.
An Ekiti PDP Elders Committee will be constituted soon.
Stakeholders encouraged the Caretaker Committee to ensure fairness and transparency at all times, aiming for a peaceful Congress.
A meeting with all Chairmanship aspirants and key individuals involved in bulk form purchases will be convened as soon as possible.
Stakeholders expressed gratitude to all members for their steadfastness and encouraged party faithful to continue mobilizing for the party.
The stakeholders also thanked the party’s media team for their efforts in promoting the party’s goals.
