The APC, Edo State has denounced a published report that two names, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu and General Charles Airhiavbere (rtd) were dropped from list of contestants for the party’s primaries on instruction of APC Edo leader, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.

Acting Chairman, APC Edo State, described the report as a “product of distorted imagination of the publication, devoid of any fact”.

“I wish to categorically denounce an online news report alleging that the leader of the APC in Edo State, Senator Adams Oshiomhole, has requested the Gubernatorial Screening Committee to exclude the names of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu and General Charles Airhiavbere (rtd mni) among others.
The report is a product of the publication’s distorted imagination, devoid of any factual basis. The publication failed to engage in due diligence by cross-checking the facts before disseminating this misinformation.
The APC in Edo State urges all well-meaning supporters and members to dismiss these unfounded claims. The party remains committed to transparent and fair processes, and any purported directives attributed to our leader should be treated as baseless and false.
We call on the public to rely on verified information and refrain from being misled by sensationalized reports. The unity of the APC in Edo State is unwavering, and our focus is on the upcoming electoral processes in a spirit of fairness and inclusivity.
