The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Barr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, on Saturday inaugurated 5 Kilometre temporary access road linking the Saburi 1 and 2 communities to the Outer Northern Expressway (ONEX) and the old Keffi-Dei-Dei International Market Road in the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC).
At the event, Wike revealed that the federal government had approved the reconstruction of the Dei-Dei International Market Road connecting Life Camp. He assured residents that the project would commence in February and would be completed by the end of the year.“
Mr. President has directed that this Dei-Dei International Market Road should be reconstructed to Life Camp, so the market can regain its status as an international market.
Be assured that in the next one month, we will flag it off, and before the year ends, we will be back to commission it,” the minister said. Addressing Saburi residents, Wike reaffirmed the administration’s dedication to fulfilling its promises.
He commended the community for their unity and support, stating, “Let me thank the people of Saburi for mobilising yourselves to show appreciation for what the president has done, remembering the communities that make up AMAC.”
The announcement was met with excitement, as residents expressed optimism about the government’s plans to improve infrastructure in the area.
