Accra, Ghana — A self-styled Ghanaian prophet, Ebo Noah, has sparked widespread debate after declaring that God revealed to him the world will end on December 25.

The prophet, who has begun constructing a massive ark, insists he has been divinely instructed to gather two of every species on earth, echoing the biblical story of Noah.

“God has spoken to me directly. He said the world will be destroyed on Christmas Day, and only those who obey His word will be saved,” Prophet Ebo Noah told reporters in Accra.

He further explained that the ark is a “vessel of salvation” for those who heed his message. “The Lord told me to prepare, to take two of every species, and to build the ark so that the righteous will not perish,” he added.

The prophecy has drawn mixed reactions across Ghana, with some residents dismissing it as fearmongering while others have begun flocking to his compound to witness the construction of the ark.

Religious leaders and scholars have urged calm, noting that such apocalyptic predictions have been made throughout history but never materialized.

Still, Prophet Ebo Noah remains resolute. “This is not my word, it is God’s word. Those who doubt will see with their own eyes on December 25,” he declared.
