The collaboration has already produced remarkable outcomes, empowering the youth, enhancing neighborhood security, and generating employment opportunities, thereby uplifting hundreds from poverty and providing hope for thousands termed “the poorest of the poor.”
This visionary initiative specifically targets capable individuals who were previously unemployed within various communities, aiming to transform them into productive contributors to the society’s progress and the realization of a Greater Lagos. One of the central objectives of the program is to provide them with training and avenues to improve their skills while facilitating secure employment opportunities.
At present, numerous beneficiaries of the program actively participate in ensuring neighborhood security, effectively safeguarding their communities. Others have ventured into diverse trade professions, and some have even become proud owners of their own transportation businesses, bolstering the city’s transportation services. The program’s impact has sparked a ripple effect, with a growing number of individuals eagerly anticipating their chance to benefit from this life-altering initiative.
Prior to their participation in the program, many of these individuals were trapped in extreme poverty, struggling to afford a single decent meal each day. However, the comprehensive efforts of this collaboration have not only lifted them out of poverty but also ensured that each person now enjoys the dignity of having a nutritious meal before retiring for the night.
