The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the minimum cut-off marks for admission into tertiary institutions for the 2025/2026 academic session.

Following a policy meeting held with key stakeholders, including heads of tertiary institutions across the country, the admission benchmarks were set at 150 for universities, 140 for colleges of nursing sciences, and 100 for both polytechnics and colleges of education.

The agreed cut-off marks serve as the minimum requirements for prospective students seeking admission into various institutions nationwide. However, individual schools retain the autonomy to set higher standards, provided they do not go below the national minimum.

JAMB emphasized that the move aims to ensure fairness, maintain academic standards, and allow institutions some flexibility in their selection processes.
