Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has spoken out against the arrest warrant issued for him by the Ogun State Police Command.

The police had declared Portable wanted for allegedly assaulting Ogun State government officials who were carrying out their lawful duties. However, the singer insists he is being framed.

“I didn’t k!ll anybody. If anything happens to me, there will be trouble. They should post the evidence of where I fought them at my bar. They are evil people, and they are lying against me. Just kill me and let everywhere scatter,” he wrote in a series of Instagram story posts.

Portable maintains that he is innocent and claims the arrest warrant is a deliberate attempt to tarnish his image. “They are setting me up,” he alleged.

Meanwhile, the Ogun State Police Command has reaffirmed its stance, stating that Portable must face justice for his alleged actions. “Assaulting government officials in the line of duty is unacceptable. He will be made to answer for his actions,” a police spokesperson said.

Despite his defiance, Portable later appealed to the Ogun State government for forgiveness, attributing his actions to spiritual affliction.

“All this evil thing wey dey happen to me na spiritual attack. God save me. I’m facing a lot of sicknesses all over my body. I’m taking care of myself. Pain in my body. Make Ogun State government forgive me,” he pleaded.

As the situation unfolds, it remains to be seen how the authorities will handle the case and whether Portable’s claims of innocence will hold up.
