ABUJA — Management of Transcorp Hilton Abuja has dismissed reports of an ongoing water shortage at the facility, clarifying that the disruption lasted only one day and has since been fully resolved.
In a statement issued on Friday, the hotel said the temporary interruption in water supply occurred on April 14, 2026, due to emergency maintenance works carried out by the Federal Capital Territory Water Board.
The management explained that contingency measures were immediately activated to ensure guests continued to enjoy uninterrupted services despite the disruption.
“We confirm that there was a one-day disruption in water supply resulting from emergency maintenance works… In response, hotel management promptly implemented contingency measures to ensure continued water availability, maintaining guest comfort and uninterrupted service,” the statement said.
The hotel further refuted what it described as “false and misleading” reports circulating on social media, stressing that normal water supply was restored the following day, April 15.
“Contrary to false and misleading social media reports, water supply was fully restored on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. Since then, the hotel has maintained consistent and uninterrupted water supply and continues to operate at full capacity across all outlets,” the statement added.
General Manager Martin Zarybnicky expressed appreciation to guests and stakeholders for their understanding, reaffirming the hotel’s commitment to maintaining high standards of hospitality and service delivery.
