Unknown gunmen, suspected to be bandits, have abducted the wife and daughters of Muhammed Bashir, a New Telegraph reporter based in Kogi State. The incident took place on Thursday at the family house of Bashir’s wife in a Kaduna suburb, where she was on holiday with her family.
In addition to Bashir’s wife and two daughters, eight other members of the same family were also kidnapped. The family was visiting from Abuja when the abduction occurred.
Muhammed Bashir, who is understandably distraught, shared the news with his colleagues via WhatsApp.
“My wife and two of my daughters left Abuja the same Thursday for Kaduna. But they got kidnapped at their family residence on Thursday night. My dear colleagues, please, I need your prayers.”
He further expressed the family’s anxiety, noting that the abductors have not yet made contact since the incident. “My two daughters and their mother, including eight others, were kidnapped on Thursday by unknown gunmen in Kaduna, where they went for a holiday,” Bashir added.
The situation has left the family and friends deeply concerned, as they await any word from the kidnappers.
