A tragic incident occurred at the Zonal Accountant Ministry Church in Ejigbo, Lagos, on September 8, when a 55-year-old woman named Ifeoma collapsed and died while giving a testimony during a church service.

Eyewitnesses reported that Ifeoma was singing and sharing her personal story with the congregation when she suddenly collapsed. Immediate efforts were made to rush her to a nearby hospital, but she was later transferred to the General Hospital in Isolo, where she was pronounced dead. The exact cause of her death remains unclear.

Lagos State Police spokesman, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident, adding that detectives had been dispatched to the hospital for further inquiries.

However, Ifeoma’s family had already taken her body back to Anambra State for burial by the time the authorities arrived.

The unexpected loss has deeply shocked the church community, with many members expressing their condolences and reflecting on the fragility of life.

As the congregation mourns Ifeoma’s passing, the incident has prompted discussions about the importance of health checks and preparedness during public gatherings.

Further investigations into the circumstances surrounding her death may be pursued by authorities.
