The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) has extended its ₦66-per-litre petrol discount promotion by another week, while expanding the offer to include diesel.

The extension gives motorists and other petroleum consumers additional time to benefit from the promotional offer at participating filling stations nationwide.

NNPC announced the extension in a brief notice on Friday, encouraging consumers to take advantage of the discount before the promotion ends.

“One more week. More ways to save,” the company said, confirming that the ₦66-per-litre discount on Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol, would continue for an additional week.

The national oil company also announced the inclusion of Automotive Gas Oil (AGO), commonly known as diesel, in the promotion, extending the offer beyond petrol consumers.

“Visit any participating station to take advantage,” NNPC advised.

The promotion was initially introduced as part of activities marking Nigeria’s 66th Independence anniversary, with customers encouraged to purchase petrol through the NNPC Fuel App to qualify for the discount.

The offer was originally scheduled to run from October 1 to 7, 2026, across participating NNPC filling stations nationwide.

At the commencement of the promotion, the company reported that motorists had begun taking advantage of the offer, highlighting activities at several filling stations on the first day.

NNPC subsequently urged customers to continue using the NNPC Fuel App for their fuel purchases throughout the promotional period to benefit from the price reduction.

With the latest extension and the addition of diesel, the promotion now covers consumers of both petrol and diesel, providing an opportunity for private motorists, commercial transport operators and other diesel users to benefit from the offer.

However, consumers are advised to confirm the availability and applicable terms of the promotion at participating stations before making their purchases.
