The Court of Appeal in Lagos today upheld Siminalayi Fubara’s governorship win in Rivers State.
The court rejected the petition filed by Chief Patrick Tonye-Cole of the APC against Governor Fubara of the PDP and INEC.
Tonye-Cole had sought the court’s order for INEC to declare him the rightful winner of the March governorship election in Rivers State.
However, both the Rivers State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in October 2023 and now the Court of Appeal have dismissed his appeals, affirming Fubara’s victory.
