In a heartfelt Instagram plea on Wednesday, the renowned actor sought financial aid to cover his medical expenses. Following the circulation of a video of Mr. Ibu in his ailing state on the internet, numerous individuals generously offered their contributions to support him.
In a statement released on Friday through X, the ABS foundation declared that they have fully covered the medical costs for Mr. Ibu. The statement conveyed their profound appreciation for the opportunity to support John Okafor, a celebrated comedic figure who has entertained audiences for over four decades.
The statement read, “The Abubakar Bukola Saraki Foundation is honored to have extended support to Mr. John Okafor, also known as Mr. Ibu, a renowned comedic icon who has graced our screens and brought joy and laughter to countless homes over the past four decades. When we learned of his recent health challenges and the financial burdens associated with his medical treatment, we felt a deep sense of responsibility to assist in any way we could. We promptly paid off his entire medical expenses as of Wednesday.”
