Associates of former CBN Director of the Strategy Management Department, Clement Buari, have denied reports that he was among those recently sacked by the Apex Bank’s Governor.
In response to a trending story listing Buari among fourteen directors dismissed by Cardoso, sources clarified that Buari had retired earlier, after completing the mandatory 35 years of service.
According to our findings, Buari retired on May 4th and was warmly honored by the bank’s staff, as evidenced by a video we reviewed.
Reliable sources revealed that he received a long service award from the bank, and CBN Governor Cardoso, on behalf of the Board, commended him for his meritorious service to the nation at his retirement.
