Nigerian music queen, Tiwa Savage has come out swinging once again over her infamous leaked sex tape, making it clear she had nothing to do with it going viral.
Speaking on American radio station Hot 97, the superstar shut down claims that she deliberately released the tape to chase clout or stay in the spotlight.
“I was bashed for my sex video,” Tiwa fumed. “A lot of people thought I was just trying to get sympathy. Even people with platforms were horrible and blamed me. They said I leaked it myself to stay relevant.”
The scandal first broke in 2021, after Tiwa refused to give in to a blackmailer’s demand for hush money, only for the video to surface online and spread like wildfire.
Calling the saga one of the darkest chapters of her life, the “Somebody’s Son” hitmaker didn’t hold back when mocking the idea that she staged it herself:
“If I were doing that intentionally, I would have used better lighting, worn lingerie, and made sure my facial expressions were on point.”
