Nigerian singer Portable was crowned Artiste of the Year at the recently concluded Golden Stars Award, sparking celebrations in his camp. The ‘Zazoo Zeh’ hitmaker took to Instagram to express his joy, sharing a video of himself alongside the award.

In a message accompanying the post, he proclaimed himself as the “new born Fela.” “Akoi Grace IKA OF AFRICA 🌎 Kinimah Fajah Trending Artist Of The Year Portable Omolalomi New Born FELA Wahala Musician. Big Thanks to all my lover’s out side ZAzuu Akoi Million Fans @goldenstarsaward Cc. @babyluvgram Akoi Best Artist Manager Of The Year, Na God Dey Run Am.”

During his acceptance speech, Portable expressed gratitude to his devoted fans for their unwavering support and declared his ambition to bring home a Grammy in the near future.

This isn’t the first time Portable has voiced his aspirations of winning a Grammy. However, popular Twitter influencer Daniel Regha dismissed the singer’s claims, asserting that his song only resonates on the streets.

Regha further argued that ‘Zazoo Zeh’ falls short of being a hit record and is undeserving of a Headies award nomination, let alone a Grammy victory.

Nonetheless, Portable has continued to demonstrate his musical prowess by releasing solo tracks and collaborating with other artists, garnering significant attention and acclaim.
