It is deeply regrettable that individuals who should serve as a moral compass for their followers have instead degenerated into miscreants, manufacturing chaos and peddling disorder at every turn.

The town crier known as , an unrefined yet fortunate beneficiary of fame, stands out as one of Oyo State’s more embarrassing accidents. Though he has attained a measure of local recognition, he has clearly failed to grasp the most basic requirement of public life – restraint. What he now produces is not music but noise; like a battered timbrel spewing angry, vile, rascally, and inciting discord. In the wisdom of our elders, he now plays the music of bastards, for bastards, and for men as reckless as he has become.

For a man who was honoured with a ₦70 million SUV in recognition of his contributions as an indigene of Oyo State, by Gov. Seyi Makinde, Osupa has spectacularly squandered every ounce of goodwill. It takes a particularly low-grade miscreant to turn around and insult benefactors and elders over crumbs tossed his way like a mangy dog scavenging in a junkyard.

Osupa, beyond being a local act, has reduced himself to a loud, ungrateful nuisance.

At the peak of his latest irresponsible outburst, this thoroughly uncouth character dragged the revered stool of the Olubadan into his tirade, claiming he was “defending” the monarch, while declaring that anyone who does not support the Olubadan’s supposed candidate is a bastard. Such language deployed against those from who he has benefited, exposes not only his lack of breeding but also the depth of decay among those he aligns with politically.

The stool of the Olubadan remains sacred, and it is precisely for that reason that the palace must urgently distance itself from reprobates who recklessly weaponise its name for petty, disgraceful outbursts.

Osupa would do well to recant and repent, swiftly. Failure to do so will invite consequences befitting such brazen insolence.
