Nollywood actor Jim Iyke has spoken candidly about the collapse of his marriage, admitting that personal emotional struggles affected his ability to function as a husband despite being deeply committed to fatherhood.

According to the actor, he eventually had an honest conversation with his wife, telling her that he was struggling internally and could not predict how long it would take him to heal.
“I told her I didn’t know how long it was going to take me to get through it,” he said.
However, his wife made it clear that she could not continue waiting indefinitely, leading the couple to mutually end the marriage.
“She said she couldn’t wait, and we parted as friends,” he added.
The actor noted that despite the separation, there was no hostility between them, and they have maintained a cordial relationship.
