President Bola Tinubu has pledged his administration’s continued commitment to creating pathways for young Nigerians across multiple economic sectors, marking the third anniversary of his tenure with a nationwide address Friday.
In his message, Tinubu emphasized that the government views young people as catalysts for national progress rather than challenges to overcome. “To our young people, I want you to know this nation believes in you. You are not a problem to be managed. You are the engine of Nigeria’s future,” he said.
The president outlined an ambitious investment agenda aimed at preparing the next generation for economic success. “We are investing in digital skills, technical education, innovation, student financing and enterprise support because the future must be driven by Nigerian talent, creativity and productivity,” Tinubu stated.
According to the president, these efforts span diverse sectors. “Across technology, manufacturing, creative industries, agriculture, sports and entrepreneurship, we are expanding opportunities for you to compete and succeed,” he declared.
Beyond youth-focused initiatives, Tinubu called for national unity and shared responsibility in the development process. “Nations rise when their people remain united in purpose, disciplined in effort and hopeful about the future,” the president explained.
He stressed the importance of inclusivity and social cohesion, noting that “Nigeria belongs to all of us, no region, faith or group should feel marginalised or forgotten. Our diversity is a source of strength.”
Tinubu also expressed optimism about economic recovery, stating that “signs of recovery are becoming clearer. Confidence is returning. Productivity is improving. Opportunity is expanding” across major sectors including agriculture, infrastructure, and manufacturing.
