President Bola Tinubu has declared an end to his rift with Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, saying all grievances have been forgiven.

The president made this declaration during a private meeting in Lagos on Saturday with members of the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), who came to intercede on behalf of the governor and others reportedly at odds with the president.

Speaking after the delegation’s appeal, Tinubu reportedly said, “It’s all over now. All is forgiven.” Multiple sources confirmed that the president emphasized he no longer held any anger towards anyone, including Governor Sanwo-Olu.

Chairman of the GAC, Alhaji Tajudeen Olusi, who led the delegation, acknowledged tensions between the president and some Lagos figures. “It was clear Mr. President was not pleased with certain individuals in the state, particularly the governor. We had to beg for his mercy,” Olusi said.

In a dramatic show of contrition, Governor Sanwo-Olu and members of the GAC reportedly prostrated before the president in a gesture of humility and reconciliation.

A source present at the meeting told Paparazzi Online, “There was no detailed explanation from either side. It wasn’t about who was right or wrong. The appeal was for forgiveness, and the president granted it.”

The meeting marks a turning point in what had become a subject of intense speculation in Lagos political circles, with many now hoping the gesture paves the way for renewed cooperation between the president and state leadership.
