The vibrant city of Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, came alive once again as the 2025 edition of the Ojude Oba Festival unfolded in grand style, drawing crowds from across the country and beyond. Among the high-profile attendees was financial guru turned celebrity, Farooq Oreagba aka Mr. Steeze and Music star, Lil Kesh, who added glamour and excitement to the cultural celebration.

The Ojude Oba Festival, held annually two days after the Muslim Eid-el-Kabir celebration, is a revered cultural event that showcases the rich heritage and traditions of the Yoruba people. Originating as a Muslim homage to the Awujale, the paramount ruler of Ijebuland, the festival has evolved into a unifying spectacle of fashion, music, and traditional pageantry.

This year’s event was no exception, with stunning displays of regal attire, horse-riding processions by age-grade groups (regberegbe), and pulsating performances. Celebrities like Mr. Steeze and Lil Kesh mingled with locals and dignitaries, reflecting the event’s growing national appeal.
