An alleged terrorist commander has issued a chilling threat against Nigeria’s top leadership, boasting in a newly surfaced video that his group plans to abduct military officers, state governors, and even President Bola Tinubu.
The footage, obtained by Paparazzi Online, shows the armed militant dressed in what appears to be a Nigerian military jacket as he brags about his gang’s recent kidnappings of schoolchildren in Kebbi and Niger states.
According to him, the group remains undeterred despite recent arrests by security operatives.
“Everyone has woken up. We kidnapped school students in Kebbi State and Niger State. Next time, we will be kidnapping Nigerian military officers and taking them to the forest,” he declared.
Pointing to the jacket he wore, he continued threateningly:
“Look at the clothes I’m wearing, they belong to a soldier. Nigeria, in the days ahead, we will kidnap a governor, we will kidnap the President, and others.”
The militant insisted that the Nigerian government had failed in its duty to safeguard citizens, urging the public instead to rely on divine protection.
“We are not concerned that they have arrested anyone. The government cannot secure you. You people should return to God to protect you, answer your wishes, and wipe the tears from your eyes,” he said.
He concluded the video with a message to his followers:
“No one among the big men can wipe your tears. We have woken up. I greet all of you on social media. Have a pleasant day.”
Security agencies have yet to issue a formal response to the latest threat.
