AIG Hakeem Odumosu, the former Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, has categorically denied his involvement in the news circulating online about his appointment as the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) by President Bola Tinubu.
Odumosu emphasized that he had no knowledge of such an appointment and had not discussed the matter with the president before his departure for France yesterday. He dismissed the circulation of this false appointment as an unnecessary distraction caused by mischievous individuals.
In his own words: “Good morning everyone, I have received numerous calls and messages since yesterday regarding a supposed ‘EFCC appointment.’ I want to take this opportunity to refute this information and state unequivocally that it is completely false.”
Odumosu continued, “This misinformation must have originated from mischief makers and should be completely disregarded.”
