Global Afrobeats sensation, Tiwa Savage, has unveiled the Tiwa Savage Music Foundation, a non-profit initiative aimed at providing music education and industry access to emerging African talents.
The award-winning singer announced the launch on her Instagram page, describing it as a new chapter in her career dedicated to giving back to the continent that shaped her artistry.
“After years of building globally, it’s time to build at home,” she wrote. “Introducing the Tiwa Savage Music Foundation, a new initiative dedicated to empowering emerging African creatives through access, mentorship and world-class music education.”
As part of its debut activities, the foundation will host its flagship project, Berklee in Nigeria: Tiwa Savage Intensive Music Programme, in partnership with Berklee College of Music.
The four-day programme, scheduled to take place in Lagos from April 23 to 26, 2026, is expected to provide 100 selected participants with hands-on training, mentorship, and direct engagement with seasoned industry professionals.
Organisers say the intensive course will focus on music production, songwriting, sound engineering, and the business side of music. The curriculum will emphasise practical skills development and strategies for building sustainable careers in the global music industry.
The initiative marks a significant step in Savage’s efforts to nurture homegrown talent and strengthen Africa’s creative ecosystem by bridging the gap between local artists and world-class opportunities.
