Former Nigeria Police Force spokesperson, Frank Odita, has passed away at the age of 84.
The sad news was announced by Muyiwa Adejobi, the current force spokesperson, in a statement released on Saturday, June 24. Odita breathed his last on the evening of Friday, June 23, at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) following a brief illness.
During his tenure in the Nigeria Police, Odita served as the public relations officer from 1990 to 1992, until his retirement in 1993. Born in Delta state, he was also known as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of FrankCom Limited.
Furthermore, Odita co-founded and hosted Security Watch Africa, a television program focused on security matters.
He obtained his degree in communications and media studies from the Institute of Police Management and Technology at North Florida University.
